Congratulations are in order for supermodel Gisele Bündchen, as she reportedly gave birth to her third child.
TMZ on Wednesday broke the news, saying Bündchen and her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, welcomed the newborn.
“We’re told Gisele is super happy — and mom and the baby are healthy,” the media outlet noted. “It’s unclear when the new bundle arrived but we’re told it was recently.”
It also wasn’t immediately clear if the baby is a boy or girl.
According to TMZ, sources said Bündchen and Valente had planned to wait until the baby was born to find out if they were having a girl or boy.
Bündchen, 44, shares two children with her famous ex-husband Tom Brady, who is known as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. Their kids include 15-year-old Benjamin and 12-year-old Vivian.
Bündchen and Brady finalized their divorce in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage.
“The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always,” Bündchen said at the time.
Now, Bündchen is with Valente, who is a jiu-jitsu instructor. TMZ said the two “were first linked back in November 2022 after JV joined the model and her kids on a trip to Costa Rica … mere weeks after her divorce from the NFL star was finalized.”
They haven’t shared any photos of the baby yet, but Bündchen’s Instagram account includes of a video montage in which she shows off her baby bump.
“Happiness is an inside job,” she captioned the post. “Remember, you are the only one who has the power to create the life you want to live.”
Bündchen, who was discovered by a modeling scout at age 13 in Brazil, secured her place as one of the industry’s highest-paid models by the 2000s. In addition to walking the runways of top designers, appearing in campaigns for high street and high fashion brands alike, she signed on as a Victoria’s Secret Angel and took on small film roles, including in “The Devil Wears Prada.”
She took a step back from modeling in 2015. Since paring back her modeling commitments, she has dedicated herself to environmental activism, particularly with regard to the Amazon rainforest’s conservation, and business ventures like eco-friendly skin care and a lingerie line. She has also been vocal about mental health, disclosing debilitating panic attacks that she said had her contemplate suicide and criticizing unrealistic beauty standards.
