AMBER Alert canceled after teen found safe Emergency USA


The teen at the center of an AMBER Alert was found safe on Thursday, about a day after the alert was issued.

MISSOURI CITY, Texas — Just about 24 hours after an AMBER Alert was issued for a teen out of Missouri City, the teen was found, according to Texas Department of Public Safety officials.

The teen was reportedly OK. Officials with the Missouri City Police Department said she walked into a Child Protection Services office in Rosenberg on Thursday.

Authorities said the girl’s biological mother, Megan LeCour, took her daughter amid a custody battle. LeCour, 31, had not been taken into custody at the time the AMBER Alert was canceled.

An AMBER Alert was issued Wednesday for a teen girl who is believed to have been taken by a woman.

The teen was last seen at Elkins High School on Knights Court in Missouri City around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities said the girl was last seen with her biological mother, LeCour. She’s about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Missouri City police said a bus driver told a woman that her child did not get on the school bus. The school checked the surveillance video and saw the girl leaving school and getting into a silver SUV.

Anyone who sees them is asked to call 911.
