HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football, indoor volleyball and soccer teams travel to nonconference opponents during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
The SLU football team (0-1) will face its second straight FBS opponent to open the season. The Lions will travel to Southern Miss for a 6 p.m. contest Saturday.
The Southeastern soccer team (1-1-1) will continue its four-match road swing this week. SLU will face Miami (Fla.) Thursday at 5 p.m. and travel to FIU Saturday for a 9 a.m. contest.
The Lady Lion indoor volleyball team (0-3) will continue its season-opening six-match road swing this week, heading to El Paso, Texas to compete in the Borderland Invitational. Southeastern opens the tournament at UTEP Thursday a 7:30 p.m., faces Stephen F. Austin Friday at 4 p.m. and closes tournament play versus Air Force Saturday at 11 a.m.
On the Air
Saturday’s football game, Thursday’s volleyball match and Saturday’s soccer match will air on ESPN+. Thursday’s soccer match is scheduled for ACCNX, while Friday’s volleyball match will stream on YouTube.
Saturday’s football game will be heard on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM).
The latest episode of Inside Southeastern Football with Frank Scelfo airs Monday at 7 p.m. from Brady’s in downtown Hammond. Following the debut episode, the show will air on Mondays throughout the season with Scelfo and host Allen Waddell discussing all things Lion Football on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM).
Jimmy Gregory of Bar-B-Que Station will be the Community Spotlight guest for Monday’s show.
