Myles Garrett, the Cleveland Browns defensive end and one of the most feared defenders in the NFL, has requested a trade after eight seasons with the team.
Garrett, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 draft, cited winning as the reason. The Browns are coming off a 3-14 season.
“While I’ve loved calling this city my home, my desire to win and compete on the biggest stages won’t allow me to be complacent,” Garrett said in a statement Monday.
“With that in mind, I have requested to be traded from the Cleveland Browns,” he added.
