HART FELT GORDON GOAL WAS ‘UNFORTUNATE’
Former England goalkeeper Joe Hart felt that Anthony Gordon’s equaliser was ‘unfortunate’ after VAR failed to rule out the striker, despite Joelinton’s handball in the build-up.
“I like the laws, I like the clarity,” Hart said. “I’ve got no qualms with that. Straight away, that’s the conversation, what are the rules as that is the only way we can form an opinion on this in terms of what’s gone on, on the pitch.
“We can discuss it, we can all talk about what we think should happen, a huge human element coming into it, obviously a huge benefit to Newcastle, the fact that it did turn over, but when the rules are in front of you stating it was in an abnormal position, it was a natural position, ball turned over, it was unfortunate for Spurs.”
