Is Walmart open on Thanksgiving? Is Target open on Thanksgiving? Is Wegmans open on Thanksgiving?
Walmart and Target are closed today (Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024) for the Thanksgiving holiday, but Wegmans and other grocery stores and pharmacies are still open with reduced hours. So if you burn the turkey or forgot some side dishes for Thanksgiving dinner and need to make a last-minute run to the store, there’s still hope.

Here’s a list of what places are open on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024:
STORES OPEN ON THANKSGIVING DAY 2024
- CVS – Most locations open, but may be on reduced hours
- Kinney Drugs – Most locations closed on Thanksgiving; store and pharmacy at 437 Electronics Parkway in Liverpool will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday
- Nichols in Liverpool – Open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday
- Price Chopper – Open until 3 p.m. Thursday
- Tops – Open until 4 p.m. Thursday
- Wegmans – Open until 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving; stores will reopen at 6 a.m. Friday
- Whole Foods – Most locations open until 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving
Other stores open on Thanksgiving include Big Lots, Dollar General, and Family Dollar; check your location’s website or call ahead before visiting.

Also, Destiny USA is closed for Thanksgiving Thursday. The Syracuse mall will reopen Friday at 7 a.m. for Black Friday shopping and begin extended holiday hours.
