Commanders QB Jayden Daniels ruled out of win over Panthers with rib injury Emergency USA

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday’s 40-7 win over the Carolina Panthers after suffering a rib injury in the first quarter.

Daniels’ exit came following his only drive of the game, which resulted in a field goal to put Washington up, 10-0.

Daniels went to the locker room to undergo X-rays, according to the CBS broadcast, and was initially deemed questionable to return before being ruled out.

Head coach Dan Quinn didn’t have any concrete information following the game.

“I cannot give an update on Jayden, but I will just as soon as we find out,” Quinn said. “We’ll do some further tests tomorrow, and then when we get together in the afternoon we’ll give you an update. But I don’t have anything.”
