Jannik Sinner has now reached the semifinals of each of the four biggest hard-court tournaments this calendar year, doing so at the Australian Open, Indian Wells, Miami and now the U.S. Open.
Since 1990, the 23-year-old Sinner is the second-youngest player to do so, outdone only by 22-year-old Rafael Nadal in 2008.
